Basket Weaving
An American Tradition
Twenty-one years ago, March 1987, a friend named Desi asked me to attend a Basket Weaving Class with her.  I went one Tuesday evening and was immediately hooked.
Since then I have completed more than 2200 baskets of various shapes and sizes.
In addition, I have instructed over 2300 students of all ages and continue to teach at state conventions, guild workshops, museums, and at my home studio in Seneca, SC.

Basket weaving is a wonderful part of our heritage.
One of the most ancient crafts, basketry dates back to prehistoric times.
Baskets were made for agricultural purposes, for gathering, carrying, and storage.
Baskets have lasted th
through the years and have gained new popularity.
